Get the Look:
Step One: Shampoo hair with the CHI Enviro Purity Shampoo with a pH of six to help gently open the cuticle.
Artist Tip: Make sure the hair is not too wet. Blow dry to remove excess water.
Step Two: Section hair into four sections.
Step Three: Start in the nape area taking small sections.
Step Four: Apply the CHI Enviro Smoothing Treatment Virgin and Resistant Hair 1/8th of an inch from the scalp using a tint brush. Pull through to the ends.
Step Five: Use a large tooth comb to help distribute the product evenly after application.
Step Six: Apply same technique on the entire head. Use your professional judgement, and follow the manufacturer’s suggested timing.
Step Seven: Using a round or paddle brush, dry the hair. Smaller sections produce a more desirable outcome.
Step Eight: Section hair into four large sections.
Step Nine: Starting in the nape area, take small sections using the CHI Lava 1” Hairstyling Iron. Settings are best between 180 – 220 degrees Celsius.
Artist Tip: Lower temperatures work best. Just take smaller sections for best results.
Step Ten: To maintain your client’s new look, have them use the CHI Enviro American Smoothing Home Care Kit. Do not shampoo prior to 24 hours.
